Lumios is a subscription service. This page says exactly when you are charged, how to stop being charged, and when you get money back.
The free trial
The trial is three days on one project, dev environment only. A card is required to start it so that your project keeps running the moment the trial converts.
Days one to three cost R0. Cancel in Settings before day four and you are never charged for the service — there is nothing to refund because nothing is taken.
The one exception is the card-verification charge: at sign-up our payment provider places a small amount on the card — a minimum of R5, which may differ by bank — and reverses it immediately. It is not a payment for the service and needs no refund request; if it has not cleared from your statement within a few days, contact us and we will chase it.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. It takes one click, needs no explanation and costs no penalty — as the Consumer Protection Act requires, and as it should be regardless.
Cancelling stops all future billing immediately. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for; you do not forfeit the remainder of a month or year you have bought.
Refunds
- Charged after cancelling. If a payment goes out after you cancelled, that is our error and we refund it in full.
- Duplicate or incorrect amount. Refunded in full.
- The service could not be delivered. If a fault on our side prevented you from using the service for a sustained period, tell us and we will refund or credit the affected time.
- Changed your mind mid-period. Cancelling stops the next payment; we do not pro-rate a refund for the part of the period already used. The three-day trial exists so you can decide before paying anything.
To request a refund, email motlounget123@gmail.com with the email address on the account and the payment date. We aim to respond within two business days, and approved refunds are returned through PayFast to the original card — typically within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, nothing stops immediately: your projects keep running for a short grace period while PayFast retries, and we email you. If it is still unpaid after that, building is paused — your projects, workspaces and repositories are kept and you can export them at any time.
What happens to your work
Cancelling never deletes your work. Dev environments pause; your plans, code and GitHub repositories remain, and export stays available. Subscribing again brings everything back.
